3 Best Ways to Smoke Weed (Be Careful, #1 Hits Hard)

Best way to smoke weed

Every once in a while, there comes a time when you just want to get completely fried.

There are generally two types of cannabis consumers: Recreational and medical.

The medical users group is made of people who enjoy both the psychoactive and medical properties of cannabis and also of people who just want the relief without intoxication.

Recreational users, however, are looking for one thing and one thing only: To experience the greatest possible high.

When it comes to choosing the best delivery method to get the highest, you have a couple of options on your hands but it all essentially involves around one thing:

Getting more cannabinoids into your bloodstream.

Preparation is key

Before we go into the exact methods that are guaranteed to blast you right away, there are some boxes that we should check beforehand.

  1. First of all, make sure that the strain you are smoking is high in THC. Really, anything above 20% THC and you’re good to go. You can use Strainblazer to find such strains in Canada.
  2. Take time to properly grind your weed. The reason for this is simple: You reduce its volume so that you can fit more into whatever paraphernalia you’re using.
  3. While smoking, try not to follow common stoner myths.

Some people may advise you to hold your breath for 20 seconds when inhaling, however, I do not recommend doing that as it does absolutely nothing for your high except causing a mild head rush due to the lack of oxygen. What I do instead is just hold it in for 2-3 seconds before exhaling.

Now, even though you can get the highest just by smoking more, there are a few other smoking methods that seasoned users swear by.

Here are the 3 best ways to smoke weed to get the highest.

Gravity bong

It’s not a secret that bongs can get you high really quickly, but have you ever tried using a gravity bong (aka the bucket)?

Apparently, this is what Bob Marley used on occasions and it hits super hard.

Gravity bong might look complicated at first but it’s really easy to make.

The way it works is that you have two containers: The first one is a bucket  filled with water and the second is a smaller bottle with a bottle cap, which you cut in half.

Gravity bong

You insert either a cone piece or a down-stem through the bottle cap, pack the weed tightly, light it up and wait for the smoke to fill out the smaller bottle.

And here’s where the gravity part comes in:

You push the smaller bottle downward, into the water, remove the down-stem and inhale—water compresses the smoke and, in return, you get a huge toke.

Here’s a tutorial I followed to make my first gravity bong.

WARNING: Do not use tin foil to replicate a cone/down-stem, as it is actually really bad for your lungs. Instead, pick up a glass cone piece that you can insert through the bottle top.

Blunt

This one is a no brainer—you can pack a lot more weed into blunts than you can into regular joints. Especially when you finely grind it.

And even better, blunts have countless variations. There are, in fact, as many types of blunts as there are blunt wraps and cigars.

So, you can play around with all different wraps until you find your perfect combo.

As a huge plus, there are companies that specialize in crafting blunts that produce a particular aftertaste, like orange, cherry, honey, etc.

You can usually pack about 1-3 grams of weed into a blunt, depending on its size. Since that is a lot of weed for one cigar, it will literally blow the top off of your head if you’re smoking it for the first time.

Which is probably what you’re looking for if you’re reading this.

Nevertheless, blunts are pretty easy to roll. Here’s a quick video tutorial to get you up to speed:

Quick tip: when you inhale, keep it in for 2-3 seconds (not longer) and exhale.

Twaxed blunts

There is getting high and then there is getting HIGH.

And If you’re looking to get HIGH, then look no further than twaxing—Smoking blunts filled with mixed cannabis concentrate and flowers.

Twaxed joint

As you know, concentrates come in many forms, but if you have some weed on you then you can make your own version.

The easiest one to make at home is called rosin and we recently did an in-depth tutorial on how to make your own. The only thing you’ll need is a hair straightener, parchment paper and some weed.

Once you go through the entire process, you’ll end up with your very own cannabis concentrate, clocking in about 60-80% THC.

The only thing left to do then is add that concentrate to your blunt and roll it up.
